Tell us a little about yourself.
I’ve spent most of my life growing up on the Sunshine Coast fishing as much as I can and when I’m not fishing I’m usually surfing! I work for a small family business called Sunshine Coast Marine Electrical Doctor where we install marine electronics and rewire boats!
How did your fishing journey begin?
From a young age where my dad would take me fishing every chance he had, even often letting me take multiple days off school! I caught my first Black Marlin when I was 6 years old and not long after that I fell in love with Barramundi.
What does representing Australia mean to you?
Representing your home country to anyone is a huge deal and representing Australia for fishing is crazy to me! I never knew it was possible until I seen the boys heading over seas many years ago and thought man I want to get there.
What achievement in fishing are you most proud of?
My biggest achievement in fishing I'd say is competing on the Basssmaster Opens (USA) in 2026. I never won a tournament but I qualified into the EQ series which is the level below the Elites, pretty happy to have mixed it with some of the best on the world over there!
What are you most looking forward to about competing in the USA?
Although I live and breathe it the fishing is a small part of it for me, just getting the chance to experience new cultures and see different countries with the team is such an awesome time! I look forward to this trip every year.
